Investigators said the fire started in a Chinese restaurant. It quickly spread through about a half-dozen stores.

Those businesses include a bagel store and a men’s store that has been in business for 88 years.

“We’re devastated,” Anthony Balzofiore of Mac’s Men Shop. “It’s our livelihood. It’s all we know. I’ve been working here since I’m 13 years old. So, hopefully, we can rebuild and be back somewhere in this neighborhood.”

The building, built in the early 1900s, have common rooms that pre-date fire codes.

A hardware store next door to the destroyed businesses was left virtually untouched because it had a fire wall.

Firefighters continued to hose down hot spots on Sunday morning.

Steven Slater, 38, a frustrated JetBlue flight attendant Chucked up the deuces and fled the plane that he was on through the emergency chute while he had a beer in his hand after getting into an argument with one of the passengers.

While the plane was taxiing to the gate at New York’s John F. Kennedy arriving from Pittsburgh around noonish, a passenger got out of his seat and grabbed his bag from an overhead compartment. While the flight attended was trying to tell the passenger that he had to sit down, he somehow got hit in the head with the bag or the compartment door. The flight attended got so upset and went on the loud speaker and told all the passengers to go “fu*k themselves”, he also said “I’ve been in the business 28 years. I’ve had it. That’s it.” then after took flight with the drink in his hand. LOL #ganstermuch?

The attendant was later arrested at his nearby home by Port Authority police. Slater has been charged with criminal mischief and reckless endangerment.

I find this to be hilarious, but if I was on that plane I probably would’ve been scared sh*tless not know what was going to happen next. LOL
